It’s SOOOOO YUMMY. I drank about half a gallon making it… SEE I CAN COOK. I’m gonna be such a great mummy someday. Kids can have sangria in Europe right? I think I should probably raise my kids outside of the US. 

Note: I spent 8:30pm-1am cooking sangria = only 4.5 hrs 

It’s okay, I didn’t drink that half a gallon alone, I was chatting with someone awesome on skype the whole entire time. I LOVE SUMMER. I LOVE SANGRIA. 

I’m giving myself a pat on the back for staying in on a Saturday night for the sake of pinching pennies for my travels (If you would like to make a donation to Elle’s Travel Fund please email me directly; checks or cash only). Well done Elle! Now that I’m nice and drunk, it’s time to get cozy in bed and…READ.   

Today I shed a few tears of happiness, yes I actually cried. Why? 

I booked the first flight to the start of my hugeantic, ginormous trip to Europe!!!

1st flight = SFO (San Francisco) → JFK (New York)…only staying a few days

2nd flight = JFK (New York) → 1hr stop in Berlin (I will go back!) → Munich (MUC) 

I land in Munich at 9:20am on Sept. 17th and will be RUNNING to OKTOBERFEST!!!

I’m gonna RUN to the Schottenhamel tent to catch the lord mayor of Munich tap the first keg of Oktoberfest beer!!!

I am so thirsty. Please quench my thirst Munich! DANKE!!! ♥

Girls will release their sophomore effort Father, Son, Holy Ghost on September 12/13. KEXP played a new tune titled Vomit earlier today and the band are giving away a free mp3 of the song now. Vomit features a church choir and sounds a lot like the songs on their Broken Dreams Club EP - a romantic, melancholic slowburner.

How do I feel right now? Lovely. 

The last two nights I dreamt that Albus Dumbledore is chillin’ with me and then he just dies right in front of me. Specifically, he dies in my arms because I come to his aid when he collapses. So now I’m afraid to go to sleep.

I am NOT a Harry Potter fan. I read the first book when I was a kid but didn’t really care too much for it and never picked up another (I got sucked into reading The Chronicles of Narnia instead; loved them so much, I read them more than once). I recently decided to watch all seven movies before the 8th movie (final one, thank goodness!) comes out in theaters on July 15th. I fell asleep watching the first one twice. I had to rewind the second one multiple times because I realized I was not paying attention and doing something else. Also, when I started my mission to watch all of them, I thought it was a trilogy. WHAT THE FUCK, WHY ARE THERE SO MANY OF THEM! 

I should get the third one from Netflix tomorrow. I’ve been told this one is directed by Alfonso Cuaron so I’ve got high hopes. He’s a fantastic director. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is the only movie I haven’t watched that he’s directed. 

I’m hoping this series gets better when the kids hit puberty. 

So far, watching Harry Potter is NO FUN. It feels like hard work and I have to struggle to stay awake. 10 DAYS LEFT! I have 10 days to watch the remaining five. I don’t know why I like to suffer. I can do this! Wish me luck!
